Linux DevOps Engineer

Location: Gent (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Linux DevOps Engineer to manage products in Gent and RTP (NC, USA), as well as in AWS. The role involves managing global infrastructure for internal applications running on Kubernetes, deployment pipelines, AWS accounts, artifact repository, and providing support to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Document processes and procedures for infrastructure and deployment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure
• Proficiency in scripting and coding (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo, Github) and git
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems, including familiarity with common command-line tools and utilities
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
• Experience with agile development methodologies
