For a client we are seeking an experienced SQL Developer.

Location: Leuven (50% On-Site)

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and promote all necessary technical components to ensure a stable and secure MS SQL database environment.
• Monitor market trends and evolutions of MS SQL Databases in collaboration with the System Architect and Product Owner.
• Follow security recommendations proactively and reactively to minimize operational risk.
• Assist teams with operational issues such as performance investigations and database stability.
• Modify and write scripts using T-SQL, PowerShell, and Perl.
• Collaborate with offshore partners to ensure first-level operational quality.
• Adhere strictly to security policies, including tools and authorization policies.
• Participate in the on-call organization and be willing to work outside business hours for planned interventions.

Required Technical Knowledge/Experience:

• Proficient in MS SQL 2019 and MS SQL 2022.
• Knowledge of Windows 2019 and Windows 2022.
• Familiarity with VMWare.
• Experience in setting up and troubleshooting SQL Server Always-On High Availability.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with performance troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of SQL Backup functionalities.
