Service Description:

Within the corporate Digital & Data department, the aim is to facilitate and drive the organization to leverage data. Data is considered a major asset for the business to achieve its targets, including strategic ambitions, innovation, transformation themes, objectives, and regulatory compliance. The Data Platform includes a cutting-edge integration toolset, business intelligence, analytics and storage capabilities, a platform for the management of master data, and a data governance platform that encompasses data lineage and data quality.

The Data Organization consists of:

• Business Product Teams supporting business stakeholder initiatives, organized according to Agile principles.
• Backbone/Platform Teams supporting data platform initiatives, organized according to Agile principles.
• Transversal Competencies Team supporting various profiles and technology initiatives, organized according to Agile principles.

The Data Organization is dynamic, continuously challenging itself and the organization. It operates with a flat hierarchy, with team members spread across agile teams, following open-source principles.

Role:

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join one of our product teams. This is an opportunity to contribute to the corporate Data organization and indirectly improve product management for customers through qualitative data and services. The role involves creating data pipelines, efficient storage structures, powerful materialized views in different analytical technologies, and data exchange endpoints for users. Interaction with governance tools (Glossary, Modeling, Lineage, or Data Quality) is also required.

Responsibilities:

• Create data pipelines and efficient storage structures.
• Develop powerful materialized views in various analytical technologies.
• Establish data exchange endpoints for users.
• Interact with governance tools related to data quality and lineage.

What You Will NOT Be Doing:

• Acting from an Ivory Technical Tower.
• Making decisions for the business; instead, advising with careful logic and reasoning.
• Delivering technical solutions; rather, focusing on product features.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using SQL Server.
• Experience implementing data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Stream/Log Analytics, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Python in a Databricks environment.
• Fluent in English (must-have) and fluent in German, French, or Dutch (soft requirement).
• Open to learning and adopting new technologies (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow).
• Ability to interact with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and present reusable, integrated solutions.
• Willingness to contribute to extensive testing of solutions and reinforce DevOps principles within the team.
• Experience with PowerBI.
• Ability to view data transversally across the entire enterprise to maximize coherence, reuse, and adoption.
• Proven track record of driving results through continuous improvement.
