Service Description

The proper functioning of the market is a key pillar of the transition. The client plays a central role in facilitating this market by managing several ancillary services essential to grid operation, such as the balancing capacity market and balancing market. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Power BI dashboards to analyze specific situations in the balancing markets and the intraday and day-ahead markets, supporting market surveillance activities.
• Analyze ongoing and upcoming market evolutions, and develop & enhance reporting tools. In 2025, a major development in the balancing market will occur, requiring in-depth analysis and reporting.
• Develop and maintain a dedicated Power BI dashboard to monitor the impact of a recent go-live related to congestion management improvement.
• Analyze the participation of storage units in the balancing markets, focusing on their management of technical storage constraints.

Requirements

• A master's degree in engineering or economics with an interest in working in a technical environment, or equivalent through experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proven experience in Python, Power BI, and data analytics.
• A keen interest in the sector and an understanding of the global workings of the market.
• Attention to detail while maintaining an overall perspective and delivering flawless work.
• Team-oriented and result-driven.
• Quick learner with a proactive and positive mindset.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with the ability to communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing.
