Service Description:
We are looking for a proficient Data and Generation Forecast Analyst to play a crucial role in supporting colleagues by enhancing the update and management processes of the Hosting Capacity Map, published monthly. The focus will be on data management, archiving strategies, and process automation.
Objective:
The analyst will ensure efficient data input and review results for load and generation updates. They will collaborate with project leads to define storage practices and support departmental changes. Additionally, they will contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives for integrating Distribution System Operator data and identify requirements for process automation improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HCM Update Process:
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the data inputs required for load and generation updates.
- Conduct thorough reviews of HCM input updates to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Data Management and Archiving:
- Work collaboratively with the scenario data management project lead to define best practices for data storage and archiving.
- Support the department through changes to improve data accessibility and reliability.
- Automation and Process Improvement:
- Participate in proof of concept (POC) initiatives for integrating new data versions from Distribution System Operators (DSO).
- Analyse current workflows and propose requirements for enhancing the automation of the HCM update process.
- Technical Support and Collaboration:
- Assist team members in managing and manipulating data efficiently, utilizing tools such as Python.
- Collaborate with external data professionals to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in engineering, with a strong foundation in data management.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, with practical experience in Python.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch or French.
- Familiarity or readiness to learn additional tools like R, PowerBI, and Databricks.
- Deep understanding of electrical engineering concepts, including energy, power, and reactive power.
- Ability to proactively address and solve technical challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
