BI Engineer Position

Project Duration:

01/09/2025 – 31/12/2025, with an option for extension.

Mission Context:

You will be working on an application designed to monitor and detect fraudulent companies. Following a successful proof of concept (POC), the project is now being scaled nationally. Key developments include the establishment of an appropriate architecture, accessibility to several data sources, and partial rewriting of the original code. The available data sources now allow for company screening, and a basic dashboard model has been developed to showcase initial results. The processed data is also intended for use in other police applications. Further development will occur within a team comprising an internal project manager, a data engineer, and two external experts: a data architect and a Python developer. The current team is available for knowledge transfers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct business analysis to identify end product requirements and ensure compliance with legal obligations.
• Develop improved reports and dashboards, handling complex calculations and data structures on the data warehouse side.
• Automate data delivery and refresh in the end product, primarily using Power BI and a JavaScript application.
• Work in a structured manner to maintain an overview while ensuring the solution remains maintainable and allows for local configuration by end users.
• Ensure the solution is user-friendly and understandable for non-technical end users.
• Utilize APIs to deliver data to applications or other development teams.
• Explore new opportunities with existing data sources.

Profile Description:

The BI Engineer, in collaboration with the data engineer, Python developer, and BI Architect, is responsible for delivering relevant data from the data warehouse to end-user interfaces (such as Power BI dashboards and custom-built applications) in an easy-to-understand and use format, compliant with the legal framework.
