Medior/Senior Platform Engineer

Location: Antwerp

Responsibilities:

1. Research and design sustainable, high-quality, and cost-effective products, services, infrastructure, applications, and architecture within the assigned technical domains. Introduce new technologies and services, and translate business requirements into technical guidelines and technology roadmaps.
2. Deliver solutions within a defined budget, make budget forecasts, and report adequately. Monitor and adjust to current and future business needs to implement solutions according to requirements.
3. Act as a specialist in one or more technical areas, providing expertise and coaching to other departments. Create and provide necessary documentation.
4. Define, execute, document, and coordinate acceptance and regression tests for new and existing products, services, applications, or infrastructure.
5. Manage vendors by selecting, evaluating, collaborating, and negotiating to acquire the best price-quality for materials, products, and services. Monitor supply, replenishment, and pricing of required materials or licenses.
6. Focus on capacity management by defining, implementing, and following up on KPIs, performance, capacity, functionality, and sustainability of relevant service components.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Broad experience within various technical domains.
• Experience in coordinating projects and defining project plans and approaches.
• Knowledge of different systems, processes, applications, and current projects.
• Ability to link different technologies with broader business, legal, and regulatory contexts.
• Analytical and abstract mindset for investigating systems and projects.
• Ability to coach peers and transfer knowledge.
• Capability to define strategy and roadmaps for specific business areas.
• Acumen in budgeting principles to identify financial impacts of selected solutions.
• Proficiency in English.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Gitlab, SonarQube, AWS, Terraform, React, and Node.js.
• Familiarity with WireMock and Playwright is a plus.
• Team player mindset with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
