Service Description:
We are looking for an experienced analyst to implement the new Flexibility Needs Assessment (FNA) towards Summer 2026. You will be part of a team consisting of three junior analysts and a manager, contributing to the analysis of flexibility in the system and supporting project management.
Responsibilities:
Project Management (50%):
- Lead project management and follow up on the implementation of the FNA study, including scope, timing, budget, resources, and communication plan.
- Manage interactions with involved departments such as scenarios, markets, adequacy, market development, system operation, and regulatory affairs.
- Plan, manage, and report on meetings with senior management to ensure validation of methods, assumptions, and results.
- Coordinate with CREG and other governmental services for study support and approval.
- Serve as the point of contact with DSOs for data and analyses coordination.
- Manage the drafting of the report, ensuring consistency in document layout and timely delivery.
- Interact with European sector federations of TSOs on best practices.
Analysis of Flexibility Needs (50%):
- Develop assessments on flexibility needs by analyzing and extrapolating historic forecast errors and generation outages.
- Assess available flexibility means in the system based on technical characteristics.
- Determine uncovered flexibility needs and express results with indicators.
- Process results and insights through clear graphical representations.
Required Profile:
- Preferably a master's degree in engineering, commercial engineering, or economics with an interest in a technical environment.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Keen interest in the energy sector and understanding of the global energy market, with experience in the electricity market.
- Proficient in Excel and willing to work with Python or similar programming languages.
- Excellent knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, or French, with adequate knowledge of the other languages.
