Senior BW/4HANA – PowerBI Analyst

Location: East-Flanders

Language Requirement: Fluent in English

Job Type: Long term, 4 days/week (80% FTE)

Experience Required:

• Minimum 4 years in SAP BW/4HANA development
• 3–4 years with Power BI
• Experience with SAP R/3 is a significant advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Business Engagement & Collaboration:

• Develop a solid understanding of business needs by engaging directly with business owners
• Collaborate closely with the IT department to ensure alignment between business and technology

Operational Monitoring & Maintenance:

• Coordinate and manage operational monitoring of the data warehouse with BI colleagues
• Analyze system issues, propose and implement changes to enhance performance

User Support & Enablement:

• Guide end users in understanding data models and report structures
• Assist users in creating tailored Power BI reports to meet their needs
• Support new users in Power BI setup and troubleshoot problems effectively

Modeling & Data Architecture:

• Work with BI and ERP functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data warehouse models
• Build new analytical models in Power BI from scratch
• Extract data from diverse sources including data warehouses, flat files, and external systems

Data Processing & Visualization:

• Perform data cleansing and transformation to prepare datasets for reporting
• Define DAX measures, configure security parameters, and propose impactful data visuals

Power BI Administration & Community Engagement:

• Co-maintain the Power BI environment including user management and model governance
• Share best practices, answer user queries, and keep the community informed on new features
